Tree Board of Burlingame Presents
There will be an educational opportunity provided by the Kansas Forestry Dept., Ks Dept of Agriculture, and the Burlingame Tree Board on what to look for and how to combat the Emerald Ash Borer.
In April Taro Eldredge, State Entomologist, chose an Ash tree in Burlingame and with the assistance of the Tree board/City crew girded the tree. The tree will be dropped by the City crew in preparation of it being peeled on Friday October 18, 2019. The peeling procedure will take place in Sumner Park at 10:00 o’clock a.m.
The public is encouraged to attend this program. There will be handouts on the Emerald Ash Borer as well as instruction on how to dispose of an infected three.
